The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry will start recruiting the Reiwa 3rd Year Product Safety Measures Excellent Company Award (PS Award 2021) in order to promote active efforts related to product safety and firmly establish the value of product safety throughout society. .. The application period is from Thursday, July 1st to Tuesday, August 31st. All companies and organizations related to consumer products are eligible to apply, so please do not hesitate to apply. This commendation is made by widely soliciting manufacturers, importers, retailers, net mall operators, and various organizations that are actively working on product safety on a company-by-company basis, and after rigorous screening. The award is given as an "excellent company for product safety measures". This award does not evaluate the safety of the products handled by each company, but evaluates the efforts of companies and organizations as a whole regarding product safety activities.
2.Recruitment summary
(1) Examination criteria
We will examine the efforts of companies to ensure product safety from "four perspectives".
1) Efforts to manufacture / import (or purchase / sell) safe products
2) Efforts to ensure safe use of products
3) Efforts when safety problems are found after shipping
4) Efforts to build a product safety culture

(3) Examination method
The examination will be conducted by an examination committee consisting of experts and representatives of consumer organizations.
The award-winning companies and organizations will be decided by conducting a primary screening based on documents, a secondary screening based on presentations, and a field survey by the jury members as necessary.
