preliminary report
05:00 on September 4, 2021 (updated at 05:03 on September 4)Prefectural Government Building East Building = Aoi Ward, Shizuoka City
Since the east hall of the prefectural office (Aoi-ku, Shizuoka City) is aging, the prefecture has begun to consider a new government building. We are looking for a new form, taking into consideration the changes in working styles due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, the progress of digitalization, and the role of the prefecture. The prefectural office consists of four buildings, and the oldest is the main building (built in 1937) where the prefectural assembly is located. Next, there is the East Building (same as in 1970) where the governor's department is located, the West Building (same as 74) where the Health and Welfare Department and the Living Environment Department are located, and the annex (same as 1996) where the Prefectural Police Headquarters is located is relatively new. .. The main building has been designated as a national tangible cultural property, and it is planned to preserve it in the future, but the 51-year-old East Building will need to be rebuilt in about 13 years and the West Building in about 18 years. It seems that it will take five years to construct, including the design and preparations for relocation, so it became necessary to consider the direction. On the 3rd, the prefecture held the first meeting of the "Next Generation Prefectural Office Review Project Team (PT)" consisting of related departments, led by Strategy Supervisor Kiyoshi Shinohara. The person in charge reported that with the progress of digitalization, each procedure will be online, the number of visitors will decrease, and the need for conference rooms and offices will be reduced by telework. Strategy Supervisor Shinohara said, "I would like you to proceed without assuming that the main government building of the same scale as the current one will be located in Shizuoka City. By changing the organizational culture, you can have a flexible idea of how to provide prefectural services. I need it. " At the latest, we plan to summarize the direction of the prefecture at the end of this fiscal year and listen to the opinions of the citizens of the prefecture and experts.
